Framed Print. General Terry loaded his Provisional Corps of 8,000 men on transports and  sailed for Fort Fisher on January 11 1865. On the 13th the army and the navy coordinated their efforts for a combined attack and landing of troops. After the Federal force landed on the peninsula above the fort, the army made a ground attack. The 203rd Pennsylvania Volunteers were the first to enter the fort, closely followed by the colors of the 97th Pennsylvania Volunteers under Colonel Pennypacker. This a rare  print with dark blue suede mat and dark wood frame. Overall size 32 x 38".   Shown in the picture is the National flag of the Union and the Regimental flag of the 97th Pennsylvania. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
